You can feel free to assume that I am not genuine in everything I say and do. After all, you do not know me. But...
When it comes to judging user experience, I cannot go through a user's entire account history so I look at "Exp Points" and "Rank". Sometimes post count, but that's an unreliable metric. From my perspective, you seemed like somebody who mainly uploads and logs out again, so I thought I'd link you to the latest version of the rules (which sometimes update).
As far as the ";)" is concerned it was meant as an encouragement to "risk it" - as long as it's not against the rules. If I wanted to get you in trouble and didn't care about what happens to others, then I would just have written "Go for it!" or something along those lines.
Now you know as much about the thought process behind my post as I do. Provided I'm not a liar who cares about your opinion on them for no discernible reason.

My apologies. on my part I overreacted and assumed something bad. I think it’s from witnessing the overwhelming toxicity and controversy from fandoms I’ve been in and probably has taken a toll on the way I respond to certain things.

As for the fandom stuff: I think most users just block* people who are 'coming at them foaming at the mouth' and then said users are done with it. But it you ever see somebody who says intentionally hurtful stuff (to you or others), please report them.
Showing those people "Not here!" will also protect others.

Taboo is kind of a subjective quality, especially with fandoms. Like in some fandoms, shipping two specific people together, even if they are ethically matched, is unpopular. It just depends on whether the thing is taboo for ethical reasons or just taboo because it's extremely unpopular.
For me personally, as long as you're not into loli or shota or anything like that, you're alright.
